For All Saints’, Ōtepoti ki te Raki, North Dunedin
Sitting quietly here with all the Saints,
Watching dust spiral through streams of light,
I first saw the face of Christ
And you, good Ship of the body of Christ,
Dwelling for the commemoration of Saints,
Dazzling place of truth and light,
You stand proud. In Ōtepoti’s morning light
Let your voices ring out again, ‘Alleluia! Christ
Is here and everywhere!’ With all the Saints,
And with glorias and hosannas we sing,
Take the bread and the wine and blessings,
Reminded of God’s merciful love,
We step out, lighter.
All Saints’:
May you always carry the light of Christ.
Ake, ake, ake
